Our West Coast route is our most popular option and is perfect for those with just 7 nights to explore Scotland. This route showcases some of the most breathtaking scenery, with plenty to see and do along the coastline.
While I love the freedom and tranquility of wild camping, I personally prefer staying at a campervan campsite every third night – and there are lots of great campsites in West Coast Scotland. It’s a great opportunity for a long, hot shower and to make some of the campervan chores a little easier - like refilling fresh water, disposing of grey water, and emptying the chemical toilet.
Based on my own travels along the West Coast, I’ve put together a list of campsites I recommend to customers. These sites are known for their excellent facilities, cleanliness, and friendly staff.
Location: Blair Atholl, Pitlochry PH18 5SR, United Kingdom
Located at the entrance to Cairngorms National Park, Blair Castle Caravan Park is also part of Blair Castle & Gardens. I highly recommend this caravan site in West Scotland for its wide range of activities, including pods, touring, camping, holiday homes, and woodland lodges.
As one of Scotland’s four Premier Parks, you can guarantee the best experience with their clean, well-maintained facilities.

Broomfield also has a well-maintained and serviced site that makes it even more worth visiting.

While camping on the West Coast, you can also visit remarkable tourist spots while here, including Neist Point, Coral Beach, and the Fairy Pools.
Location: Carbost, Isle of Skye IV47 8TA, United Kingdom
Glenbrittle Campsite is located at the foot of the Cuillin mountains and Loch Brittle beach. They have an in-house cafe and shop, plus amenities like electric hook up and washing machine if you need one.
