Departing from Edinburgh we will soon be crossing the Firth of Forth by the graceful Forth Road Bridge and journey into the Kingdom of Fife. stop your hire / rental motorhome in the delightful village of Falkland where we will step back in time when we visit this traditional Scottish village and explore Falkland Palace , the country residence of the Stuart Kings and Queens. The gardens contain the Royal Tennis Court which dates from 1539 and is the oldest in Britain!
Your arrival in St Andrews there will be a short orientation tour of the town before enjoying an extended stop in your hire / rental motorhome during which time you can explore the many attractions from the ruins of the 13th Century castle to Scotland’s oldest university. Of course St Andrews is renowned as the home of Golf and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, the games ruling body for much of the World, is located overlooking the Old Course.
The R&A organises the Open Championship which has taken place in St Andrews on many occasions.
