Oct 2012 - The McNeill Family, Bayswatter, Australia

Firstly we thought your website was the best out there and the fact you were hiring out a new fleet of vans was an absolute plus. We loved the fact too that as much as this is a business for you guys it is your passion too. It was great to know who you were dealing with from the very first enquiry. You have been extremely successful in providing that personal touch, which so many businesses out there lack these days. You both quite literally are prepared to go that extra mile or several hundred to look after your customers as we found out on our holiday!

It was lovely to be invited into your home and put us at ease about our adventure in our new holiday home on wheels as we had never hired a motorhome before. We will definitely repeat the experience again, but will only be hiring from you guys as I am sure we would only be disappointed to hire from anyone else. We only wished we had had more time. Scotland is just such a beautiful country, we could of stopped every two minutes to take photos and we absolutely could being in the motorhome.

Every aspect of the booking process was easy from start to finish which is completely down to you both being efficient and knowing your business so well. To know too that we could ask lots of questions at any time before and during our trip was really reassuring. So congratulations on running such a tight ship and thank you for a stress free holiday experience.

We wish you both all the very best and continued success for your business.

Oct 2012 - Simon & Sharon, Broughton, Northamptonshire

We arrived to find a beautifully presented motorhome. Although the motorhome had covered over 13,000 miles it appeared brand new and was a testament to both Gordon's and Corrine's attention to detail. It was also a testament to previous clients of Scottish Tourer who had clearly looked after it! We spent our week touring the North Highlands starting on the west coast. Stunning scenery and a very intersting drive over the pass to Applecross! Gordon was very good at giving us the confidence to explore remote places and explaining where we could, and could not, safely go.

From Applecross we headed around the coast heading nortwards and the sheer beauty, and most spectacukar scenery that we encountered over the next few days will stay with us forever. Being high up in the motorhome is also a considerable advantage for making the most of the scenery and views. Many roads were single track, with passing places, but there was so little traffic that this was never a problem. We got as far as Durness, at the very top, and then travelled down inland through Lairg to Dornock on the east coast . We could often drive for many miles without seeing another car.

The weather during our trip, in early October, was equally spectacular and changeable. The sky was as interesting as the land, and perfectly in line with the very special atmosphere and feeling that comes with being in remote areas of the Scottish Highlands. Despite covering over 700 enjoyable miles in our week, we didn't get to see or do everything that we had planned, therefore it seems we will have to return at some point... as soon as possible!

Oct 2012 - Maureen & Tom, Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire

Thanks for making our first Motorhome experience so enjoyable. The Motorhome was fully kitted out and was everything we hoped it would be which allowed us to enjoy both wild and tame camping in some superb locations and amidst spectacular scenery. We also had some of the best weather and sunsets you could hope to see in Scotland during October.

Your friendly and professional approach and the well presented advice made sure we got the best out of our holiday.

Oct 2012 - The Walker Family, Isle of Man

This was the first time we had ever been in a motor home and i can't wait to do it again When you see them at first it's hard to believe how spacious they are inside just like a home from home One of the best things was jut being able to stop and set up for the night where ever you wanted no looking for camp sites. I would recommend this to everyone.

Oct 2012 - James & Lynn from South Wingfield, Derbyshire

We really enjoyed our holiday, the camper van was immaculate and very easy to drive. It was so comfortable with plenty of room and storage, so much in fact that we ended up leaving some stuff behind in the van! However you posted that onto us and it arrived perfectly. Very well packaged.

Wild camping was brilliant and we only used a campsite twice in order to load up again with water and power. One of the best holidays we've had.

Oct 2012 - The Green Family, Edinburgh

We had a tremendous holiday in our motorhome. As first timers it was very comforting to be guided by Gordon and Corinne through exactly what we needed to know prior to booking - which was a lot. The demonstration on how to use the motorhome when we picked it up was almost too comprehensive, but it did mean that we coped with being self sufficient in the Outer Isles with no problems.
We chose these motor homes because they were guaranteed as being no more than 6 months old. We are so glad we did because the motorhome was as good as new.

I am sure we will motorhome again and we will definitely return to Gordon to hire from.

Oct 2012 - The Ingram Family, Bishopbriggs

We hired the luxury 2 berth motorhome for a 5 day break to Harris & Lewis Via Skye. This was our first motorhome adventure but will not be our last, (Gordon showed us around the new luxury model that will be available next year which we hope to hire). After getting off to a bad start by us not bringing the duvet, Corrine quickly sorted us out.She also put the gas fire on as she showed us around the motorhome and all the controls. We could not have been paying to much attention as on the first night when it was getting dark we could not get the lights to work ! a quick call to Corrine and we were sorted.
Just to say we had a great time and are looking forward to the next time already! Your personal service and attention to detail was really appreciated (supplying the bedding when I thought we just had to supply the sheets etc.). I have attached just a few of my photos (proof of the sunny, but cold weather !)

Hope you have a good holiday and don`t wear out the new toy ( Bessacar Deluxe Motorhome) as I want it in good condition when I get it next year!
We wild camped the four nights, near Uigg the first night then ferry over to Tarbert. The next two nights were spent in total isolation at beaches on Harris and Lewis and the last night was at Tarbert for the early ferry return to Skye.(There is a water tap and you can dispose of your waste at the toilets at the tourist information near the ferry).
I had a great time driving the motorhome about 600 miles, even on single track roads (I only met the postman on the Golden road on Harris) ! Gordon gave good advice with respect to the size of the motorhome, reversing etc. We could not get the tv to work as we were out of signal however the cd/radio went on and the books got read as the last of the dog walkers left the beach we were left in total isolation total silence and total darkness ! to wake the following morning to beautiful weather and a walk on a deserted beach.
The quality of service, back up and the motohome could not be faulted. The whole motorhome experience, the beautiful weather and great scenery made for a very relaxing holiday. We shall return!

Sep 2012 - Richard & Maureen, Cheltenham

Found 'Scottish Tourer' very easily on the internet search engine but pleased to find that their testimonials are obviously from real clients unlike the rubbish you read on 'Trip Adviser'. Everything written about them was born out by our own experience. Gordon and Corinne are obviously passionate about motorhomes and it shows in the fantastic condition of the 2 / 4 berth motorhome we rented that was like new even though this was late September and they we due to sell it in October.

They went over every detail of the motorhome clearly and with humour, from a position of many years of experience. We had a fabulous time on Skye and Harris wild camping. This was our first experience of having a motorhome and it couldn't have been easier. Motorhomes have moved on a huge amount in the last few years and bear no resemblance to camping. There is certainly no roughing it, the facilities are fantastic and very easy to use., even emptying the toilet. I would recommend 'Scottish Tourer' to anybody and indeed if I was looking at buying a motorhome I would buy one from them at the end of the season.
We will certainly be back.

Sep 2012 - Paul & Ginny Gooch, N.S.W Australia

Highly recommend Scottish Tourer Motorhome Hire, this has been the best holiday ever. we have been everywhere we wanted to go without any hassle what so ever. the motorhome is well equipped and well just lovely and the owners of the company have assisted us at every turn and have been truely wonderful with our requests for trips to Ireland, early pick-up at the station, transfers to airport etc.

The motorhome has traversed over much of scotland, england, wales and Ireland since we have had it without a single problem. It is easy to drive and can handle small back roads, highways, hilly climbs and goes on/off ferrys easily. My husband and I have had the most amazing 28 days on board this beauty of a motorhome and are already planning our next trip back from Australia to discover more of this magnificent country and will definately be contacting Gordon and Corrine at the scottish tourer motorhome hire.

Sep 2012 - John & Janet Roddan from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

The holiday we had with your motorhome was a great experience and has left us wanting to do it again. Like most clients I guess, we did quite a bit of research on the internet before deciding to book with Scottish Tourer. And to be honest when I read most web sites testimonials I get a bit sceptical and cynical - can the experience really be that good? But I have to say that meeting you and Corinne and being welcomed into your home having been given such a comprehensive briefing on the vehicle itself exceeded expectations. Your passion and enthusiasm for your business, your clients and a desire to make sure that we made the most of our time in Scotland can be felt through your web site, from the first contact we had by telephone and email, and throughout the time we spent in the van itself. Your attention to detail gave us the assurance that even though we were complete novices with a motorhome we knew that help and support were there both in terms of the documentation and paperwork in the motorhome and we knew you were on the other end of a telephone if needed. Fortunately we didn't need to call you! The motorhome itself was fabulous. It felt brand new, it was very comfortable and perfect for exploring Scotland. Once I got used to the size of the vehicle it was really easy to drive and manoeuvre. The ability to find 'wild camping' places and the flexibility the motorhome gave us added to the sense of adventure. We met some fascinating people in our travels including a lady on a bicycle who wanted to take our photograph for her diary one evening when we were having a barbeque up the road from Applecross, and the retired climate change scientist running the little museum in one village we visited who said we could fill up with water from the hose at the back of his cottage if we needed to. If anyone has ever had the urge to try a holiday in a motorhome but were apprehensive about how to go about it then my recommendation would be to pick up the phone and talk to Gordon and Corinne and get it booked!

Sep 2012 - David & Patricia, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

This was my first hire of a Motorhome in UK and chose Scottish Tourer to avoid the long drive from the South of England, and to be able to speak to local staff who know the areas most suitable to visit. The real winner was however Scotland the scenery on the West coast around Skye and Applecross must be one of the finest anywhere in the world. Following the advice and suggestions from Gordon we visited areas we would not usually have seen and Wild camped in places, such as beneath the Cullins overlooking the Lock Slapin towards Torrin only to be found by those that know are accessible with the Motorhome.
The Motorhome was new and in perfect condition and proved very easy to drive, particularly the additional reward camera made reversing and watching out for overtaking vehicles all the easier. This attention to detail was also seen in the cutlery and china ( yes china), all of which made a real difference to the comfort and enjoyment of the holiday.

I would warmly recommend Scottish Tourer with their efficient no fuss handovers, modern well equipped vehicles genuine local knowledge, and although the map is now well worn contains valuable extra details added by Gordon to indicate good camp sites, restaurants and places to take extra care.  These extra details show the attention to detail Gordon & Corinne take to make the holiday all the more enjoyable, and of course there is the scenery of Scotland, regardless of the weather.

Sep 2012 - Stewart & Stephen, Edinburgh

We hired from Gordon and Corinne a luxury 2 berth Swift Motorhome for a week in Sept '12.  The whole experience was without issue, the Motorhome was well presented and very clean, it was very new and up to date with additional features such as satellite TV, wedges for level parking, awning, barbecue with table and chairs. We had a thoroughly enjoyable tour of the West of Scotland including the Isle of Skye and the vehicle was well equipped to facilitate wild parking.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Scottish Tourer to anyone looking to hire a modern, up to date Motorhome.  The useful hints and tips we received from Gordon and Corinne regarding wild camp sites etc added to the enjoyment of our holiday.Fortunately the scottish weather was extremely kind to us.

Aug 2012 - The Guzzo Family: Verona, Italy

Our experience with Scottish Tourer has been positive since the beginning. Gordon and Corinne answered quickly and friendly with complete information. The price was the best we could reach from different hire companies, above all for the extras ans services included. The caution was not to high, and that's important expecially for people coming from abroad. The family business makes contacts informal and simple, Gordon and Corinne was very kind, showing us an itinerary we could follow, great restaurants and places to overnight. I certainly suggest to travel with Murray's family's motorhomes!

Aug 2012 - Gerte & Joke, From Netherlands

The route we make ourselves with some tips from you . The Hebrides especially Barra there was beautiful. It is best to locate a campsite near the coast because of the mosquitoes!!! The ferry crossing there was beautiful, we have seen six whales. Also when we go back from Stornoway- Ullapool. We visit the Calanais Stones. On the North we follow the rout John O'Groats. Beautiful! We have free camped. We took water by the ferry and the gas pumps. Even if we saw a nice place where you could not spend the night, we asked and we were allowed in two cases there surely are So we are at a pier where Queen Elisabeth with the Britannia landed in order to go to visit with her mother at Castle Mey. This castle we have also visited. It was close to our camping place. From this Castle you see the Orkney island. We see them because the weather was beautiful. Sun!We have also at a beautiful location along the water at a fish processing plant. (Schottish Sea farm) We also try to visit the Old Man or Store but the weather was very bad. Here it would be an improvement if the path it would be made known how long the walk to the Old Man is! We were surprised that it is a very long walk to get there. We didn't finist the walk!:( Of course we vistit campsites for the cleaning of the toilet and for the laundry. Sometimes you have a long search, but then you find often beautiful spots to free camping. The route that we send you : the camperpictures (the little campers) mean that we found a free camp. The pictures with the flag is that we vistit a campsite. On the Hebrides were the hills purple. Heather flourished abundantly. We have also seen that many sheep running around loose everywhere. Lots of peat fields where also peat. The Island Sky we visit this Island in 2007 for a short trip, now we visit the more of this Island. We make a trip to the Talisker Whiskey company!

Aug 2012 - The Hewitt family, Maidenhead

We booked a week in August with Scottish Tourers, for me and my husband and our two children (aged 4 and 7).  The motorhome was well equipped and comfortable and Corinne and Gordon were more than happy to help whenever we had a query, whether it was in the run up to the holiday or during the holiday itself.
A motorhome holiday in Scotland is magical. For the first time, my children were dumbstruck by the natural beauty of a place. Each day was an adventure for them and they never tired of seeing new places.
At the end of the holiday, I asked my kids how our holiday in Scotland compared to our previous two holidays in the Canary Islands. Gran Canaria got 85/100, Lanzarote got 82/100 and our motorhoming holiday scored a massive 95/100. No small feat, considering how much they love their beach holidays...

Aug 2012 - David & Patricia, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

This was our first holiday in a motorhome and we found it was one of the best holidays we've ever experienced. We had great support from Gordon and Corinne, any time of the day or night, if needed, and nothing was too much trouble. Their service included excellent advice and instruction prior to taking charge of the vehicle and plentiful, useful advice on routes to follow and on wild camping sites, places to visit, good food shops (this included an excellent butchers in Ullapool).  The motorhome was in excellent condition and spotlessly clean throughout.
The motorhome allowed us the freedom to explore the magnificent scenery in the Highlands, some nights we wild camped, on others we stayed at campsites.

One night, we wild camped at the Aviemore ski centre, at the top of the Cairngorm and the views were stunning from the very top. There was even pockets of snow on one of the mountains next to us, and this was August! We usually only take a few photos on holiday, but in the highlands, we took around 150! The views on our trip were so fantastic. We would certainly recommend to our friends and family to use Scottish Tourer Motorhomes, and we ourselves, would certainly book with them again. Their service to customers is excellent. The photo below is taken from the top of Cairngorm.

Aug 2012 - The Howlett Family, Kettering, Northamptonshire

We would like to thank you for the hire of the fabulous 6 berth Scottish Tourer Motorhome for our holiday touring Scotland and for all of your valuable advice and recommendations for places to visit and some of the most amazing roads and best routes.

The motorhome was very stylish, attracting many admiring glances, everything that we could have hoped for and more. It was absolutely immaculate and very comfortable with ample space, for a not so small family of 4, and fitted out with every facility that we could possibly want.

We were looking for a 'different' sort of holiday this year, getting away from the usual package deal and heading off to find adventure whilst touring an area of the UK that we had not visited before. As parents of 2 girls (11 and 16) it was also important to us that this should be a family holiday that we would all enjoy.

I must admit that I found the thought of driving, what is quite a large vehicle, fairly daunting, and felt very nervous driving away for the first time. However I was very surprised at how quickly I became accustomed to the motorhome, by the time we arrived at our first overnight stop, I felt very comfortable driving and was soon enjoying the elevated driving position and looking forward to the adventure ahead.

Although the motorhome is fully equipped to be totally self sufficient for wild camping, we chose a mixture of wild camping, finding some fabulous remote places, as well as staying on  few established campsites, providing an opportunity to meet up with fellow holiday makers. The variety and choice of both wild and organised campsites throughout Scotland made for a great holiday with close family time as well as social days and evenings out.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time touring Scotland. The motorhome was the perfect way to explore the fabulous wild and dramatic scenery as well as amazing historic and interesting places. This was the first time we had done anything like this, and we would thoroughly recommend Scottish Tourer Motorhome Hire. The motorhome was just fabulous and the friendly and helpful advice offered was a great benefit in planning what was a lovely family holiday.

Thank you very much once again for making your lovely motorhome available to us and for all your help and advice.

Aug 2012 - David & Grace, Edinburgh

Gordon & Corinne provide more than a first class service. Every detail is thought of beforehand, they make the full experience from initial contact to handing back the keys effortless.   I cannot recommend their business highly enough.   If it was a hotel it would be 6 star!

Aug 2012 - Rippendale Family, Saint Martin, France

We had an excellent holiday and found the experience of dealing with you most pleasant, reliable and helpful. Logistics were smooth, the van was great, you answered our calls, you were welcoming and provided a fine tour of the van and explanations before we left. A small thing that would assist comfort and reduce unnecessary costs is for the very basics to be left in the kitchen e.g. salt, pepper, sugar, oil. Otherwise, these items are being purchased repeatedly, and in quantities we couldn't hope to use. You don't need to provide them - just ask people to leave and replenish the basics. We also left toilet paper and handy towels and are sure these will be well appreciated by the next people.

Scottish Tourer Comment: A nice thought however, in the interests of Food Safety & Hygiene we cannot leave consumables from previous customers in our motorhomes...
Also we tend to find that customers want new and immaculately clean Motorhomes, We prepare every Motorhome prior to every hire personally (Gordon & Corinne) and The standard we try to achieve is that when a customer arrives its appears the Motorhome they are getting is brand new and unused by anyone else.

Aug 2012 - Eddie & Helen, Burnley, Lancashire

Just returned home from a wonderful week touring the Highlands of Scotland with a Motorhome hired from Scottish Tourer. We found them on the internet initially and were won over by the glowing reviews from previous customers. We have to say from day one booking on the internet we were impressed with the friendly and efficient way we were dealt with. Any questions we had were dealt with quickly and when collecting our Motorhome every thing was explained to us in detail. Thanks to Gordon's advice we took a route not previously planned but which turned out to be every thing and more we could have wished for. Always available at the other end of the phone to give advice we had complete confidence to set off into the wild blue yonder. The joy of this holiday was to venture forth each day and see what happens. If you stick to a route fine, if you choose to deviate fine, the wild camping gives you the freedom to stop when and where you want or if you prefer the amenities of a caravan park there are always some close by. We took pot luck and were never disappointed. If your considering this type of holiday we would highly recommend using Scottish Tourer run by Gordon & Corinne.

Jul 2012 - Annie & Jim, Victoria, Australia

We had decided to have a four week motorhome vacation in Scotland, and being half a world away in Australia while we organised the trip there was a certain amount of trepidation as this was our first experience at "motor homing".

We selected Scottish Tourers based on a lot of internet research and testimonials from previous customers. The communication that followed between us and Scottish Tourers as we organised the trip gave us a sense of comfort and confidence.

You know when people are passionate about what they do that you can expect the best!

In the case of Scottish Tourers, Corrine and Gordon are totally committed to their business, their motorhomes and their customers.
In fact "customers" is a misnomer, we felt like we were old friends, from the moment Gordon collected us at Glasgow Airport and drove us to Perth in the courtesy van to the final day of our adventure.
Conveniently located in Perth, the pick up point was at their home. On arriving we were invited in for a cuppa and a full briefing on what we could expect.
Gordon then ran me through a full check out on the motorhome while Corrine showed Annie the interior and how the appliances and equipment worked.
The vehicle was immaculately presented and being first timers it was an eye opener as to just how luxurious our home for the next four weeks was.

After our induction, and full of instructions, we confidently set off to the nearby supermarket to stock up on provisions before commencing our trip.
Thanks to their itinerary guides, we were able to camp at some spectacular and unforgettable spots in the Highlands and the Outer Hebrides.
Throughout the trip we were able to contact Gordon or Corrine at any time of the night or day if we had any problems (or even if we got lost!). Gordon even gave us the occasional call to see how we were going and whether we needed anything at all.

Not only did Corrine and Gordon provide an exceptional service but even went above and beyond what we expected. On hearing that I was having trouble finding cycle hire at reasonable rates, Gordon actually purchased two quality bikes for us which are now available to all customers at very reasonable rates.
It's the small things like that which puts this company a cut above the others.

Would I use them again, Definitely!
Would I recommend them to my best friends, Absolutely!
Would I give them a 10 out of 10, Without hesitation!

Jul 2012 - Cécile and Cyril from Beaumant France

As for our holiday, we are very happy. We spent a very nice week despite the weather that was not top ! We have loads of wonderful pictures on paper and in our heads ! It was our first time in Motorhome and we just loved it. It lets a lot of freedom, and allows to discover beautiful spots. Our 4-year-old girl just loved the fact that she was sleeping, eating, showering in a "home that moves on the road" ! We were also very happy of your welcoming and the state of the motorhome : it is always a worry to book everything on internet from abroad, you never know what you will find. As for us, no bad surprise, that helped us having nice holidays !

Jul 2012 - Lesley & Ian, Isle of Man

We can strongly recommend Gordon and Corinne at Scottish Tourer to anyone considering hiring a motor home. The service we received from initial enquiry to returning the motor home at the end of our holiday was outstanding. It was as if we were dealing with friends so warm was the welcome and the friendly way in which all our enquiries, which were many as we were first timers, were dealt with. The attention to detail when introducing us to our home for the next 7 days was outstanding as was the provision of maps and advice on places of interest, camp sites or wild camping sites. Nothing was too much trouble and, because of the quality of the motorhome and equipment we did not need to, we were encouraged to contact Gordon and Corinne at any time should we have any problems. We had a fantastic holiday thanks to Scottish Tourers and Gordon and Corinne.

Jul 2012 - Maarten & Gaby, Netherlands

We enjoyed our holiday in Scotland very much. Your tips and suggestions at the beginning of the trip were really helpful. We used a few of your wild camping spots en even found a few on our own. Clearly you are camping enthusiasts and it is very nice that you share your experiences with routes, camping sites etc. Your service and personal touch really make a difference!

Jul 2012 - Ailsa & Alan, Cambuslang, Glasgow

Ailsa and I had a brilliant time on our motorhome trip. This was due to many factors but primarily the quality of the motorhome and the excellent advice offered by Gordon and Corinne on where to stay, what to see, and the day to day use of the motorhome.
We cannot recommend highly enough the great feeling of being able to stop whenever and wherever you like (within reason!). All in all we had a great holiday with many great memories to look back on.

Jul 2012 - Frank & Chris from Grimsby, & Marika from Germany

I would like to thank you for making our holiday in Scotland a place to remember, the motorhome we hired from you was excellent nice and clean and everything tip top, even the warm welcome and farewell. We will be back not next year probably 2014.But count on us we will once again thank you and keep up the good work.

Jul 2012 - John, London

Our first motorhome experience - and it certainly won't be our last. Gordon and Corinne were so helpful, going far beyond anything expected in terms of customer care. We really got the feeling that this is a labour of love as well as a business. Our van was brand new, immaculate and well equipped - even down to the bottle opener! Highly recommended.

Jul 2012 - Mark & Family, Glams, Scotland

Thanks for the help and advice prior to using your motorhome. It was a great holiday with the kids and something I we all agreed would love to do again as it was so varied and to top it off we got good weather for the whole week away. Saw so many places around west coast of Scotland from Arisaig to Skye, then up to Ullapool and Cromarty Firth area and then back down to Oban.

One of two places stuck out and both were recommended by yourself and that was up in Arisaig, we stayed two nights as we enjoyed ourselves and the area so much and the second was the wild camping up at Applecross. I did not think the road was so bad but I must of as I did not look forward to coming back down the next day. The kids loved playing on the beach right on the doorstep of the campervan.
The campervan was good and once I got used to the width it was great and drove easily even up the climb to Applecross. It had all the stuff we need for our trip.
The main thing is the kids are still talking about their summer holiday and I'm really glad I got the cancellation and it was a superb holiday.

Jul 2012 - The Spencer Family, Halesowen, West Midlands

Just a note to say thanks for the warm welcome and support for what was a very enjoyable motorhome holiday experience; we would recommend it and maybe take two weeks next time.

Jul 2012 - The Giuseppe & Chiara Families, Italy

We came to Scotland for the first time and was a fantastic experience.
The decision to lease the camper was apt because we potuto apprezzare the beauty of nature and tranquility to have everything on hand always. Upon our arrival at the airport we found a very nice person who has accompanied us in Perth.
To expect Gordon and Corinne, two wonderful people, that after having finished the paperwork for the rental, even though it was late and little experience of driving on the left, which helped us to settle for the first night.
We immediately liked the the convenience of our campers very equipped and equipped with all amenities.
We traveled for ten days by visiting beautiful landscapes and beautiful cities.
Although the weather was not very favorable for our holiday in caravan was a great experience and will bring us the heart a beautiful memory of Scotland.

Jul 2012 - Mo from Edinburgh

I did some web research to decide who to book a motor home with, the customer feedback on the Scottish Tourer web site speaks for itself.
From start to finish, I spent a magic two weeks in a brand new motor home, touring around the outer hebrides and west coast of Scotland.
It was my first time in a motor home, but it won't be my last, mostly due to the excellent service provided by Gordon and Corrine.
Once I was shown around the basics, it was great to know that Gordon or Corrine were available if I needed more info, which was very rare.
The list of wild camping spots was extremely useful.
I really missed not being in the motor home, when my two weeks were up
Overall, a first class service !!

Jun 2012 - The Kyran Family, Linlithgow

My family thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, our first time in a motor home.
We really appreciated the "Wild Sites" information it is very handy, it allowed us to plan where to go.
Even though the sun did not shine for us we will be back next year.

Jun 2012 - The Crowhurst Family & Visiting Relatives, Somerton Somerset

We (all six of us) enjoyed the six berth Motorhome.  What made it so special was the fact that the vehicle was new and squeaky clean.  Then of course the excellent guide details you provided, which enabled us to see the best bits of the West of Scotland.  Though they had been touring most of Europe by train and plane for over a month, our Borneo relatives agreed that touring Scotland in the motorhome was the best by far.

Jun 2012 - The Lee Family, Sauderton Bucks

We had a great time and as first time users of any sort of camper or caravan we were very pleasantly surprised on numerous levels by our experience. My wife would be the first to say that she doesn't do "difficult or second rate". Scottishtourer was neither of these. The standard of tourer, it's equipment, cleanliness, facilities and attention to detail was exceptional. From my point of view it was an easy and comfortable vehicle to drive which combined made the whole trip a real joy. You have a great product available and with the stunning beauty of Scotland you deserve continued success.

Jun 2012 - Paco & Berni ,Ibiza, Baleares, Spain

We had driven the Sundance 2 Berth Super Luxury for the last week of June, and had a wonderful time. Gordon and Corinne were like family. They came to pick us up to Prestwick at 1100pm with the Motorhome and left us on a nice site nearby by the sea, for our first night of "wild camping" The vehicle was super clean and in mint condition, and their advice for our route was perfect. We got the best weather at the time, beautiful country, and great places to camp and eat.
Thank you.

Muchas gracias.

We just wanted to drop you a line to say we had a fantastic holiday when we hired one of your motorhomes. The standard and quality of the vehicle was first class and absolutely spotless. The information and guidance you provided, even before our holiday, was brilliant and extremely helpful and made our trip so worthwhile. This was our first experience of using a motorhome and we will definately be back and would recommend your services to anyone who wants a complete experience in motorhoming.
Thank you so much for making our holiday so worthwhile.

We had an absolutely fab time in one of your vans and in Scotland. I wanted to do something different this year and boy was this different.
The west coast if Scotland is the most beautiful place I've ever been too. A Scottish person at work was horrified is picked it as my holiday destination. We had great weather, even donned shorts and t-shirt!
Your advice at all times was totally spot on. Even when we text mid week for ideas or suggestions of where to camp you came back quickly. The van was immaculately clean. The only issues we had were with a couple of broken bits which were due to the previous renter not informing you. You tried your hardest to fix this before we departed. The van had everything we needed.
I personally think you should put together some routes for people to follow as you know the best places to go. My favourite place was loch maree. It was stunning. My best photos are from there and also the campsite on the beach south of the isle of skye.
Another recommendation was the seafood shack. Amazing.
Good luck with your future renting.

Jun 2012 - Bryan & Marsha, Teesside

This was the first time we had hired a motorhome and were a little unsure about quite what to expect. However, the whole experience was great, from our first enquiry right up to handing the vehicle back. During the booking process Gordon was helpful and quick to respond to any queries.
When we drove away we were a little apprehensive as it was a six berth motorhome and a somewhat bigger vehicle than we are used to driving! However, it was very easy to drive with an excellent and comfortable driving position and we soon got used to its size. The motorhome was extremely well equipped, with everything you would want for a touring holiday. We hired the vehicle for five days and did over 500 miles of very easy driving, seeing some beautiful countryside and camping in some really wild places.
We had a really good time. The motorhome itself was excellent, brand new, fully equipped and had everything we needed and more.
Thanks for all the advice, information and guidance.

Jun 2012 - The Ramsay Family, Newcastle

we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Scotland in the motorhome. We have visited Scotland before but in the tourer it gave us the opportunity of 'roaming free' - and visiting areas we would not previously have reached. The whole experience was perfect - right from the time we picked up the motorhome.
Thanks for your help with thorough instructions before we left and ideas of places to stay - it was great to see you at Sunnyside - one of your suggestions. We have definately got the motorhome bug and will most likely see you again some time.
Thanks again.

we had a fantastic time. Our pick up was on-time from edinburgh city and it was lovely to meet you both. After the paper work was completed, you gave us an excellent over-view of the motorhome, which was brand new and excellent condition. The time taken to show us around definitely put our minds at easy considering the size of it and it was very helpful to leave some of our over-sized bags in your house.
The motorhome did not disappoint! The campsite list you provided was very accurate but still gave us the opportunity to roam.
On our return, you were very accommodating regarding our changed flights and getting us to the airport a few hours early.
We would definitely come back again.thanks for everything.

Jun 2012 - The Duncan Family, Aberdeen

What a fantastic break we had, it was our first 'venture' in a Motor Home and now we are absolutely hooked. Before booking I asked the question, 'Why should I pay more from Scottish Tourer than one of the competitors close by'...stupid question, it is quite apparent why, the standard of the Motorhome is simply superb, brand new with 1500 miles on the clock, immaculate inside and out, everything working as it should and all the extras on the Motorhome make it an even more enjoyable experience. My Kids, 10,7,6 just loved it and are already asking when we can do it again! Your (Gordon / Corrine) hospitality is fantastic, handover of the Motorhome was very detailed and thorough which certainly gives confidence before you set off!
We were based at Drum Mhor Campsite in Edinburgh and the motorhome was the envy of everyone even experienced Motorhomers!
I simply would not go anywhere else, and we will certainly be back.

Jun 2012 - Jan & Alistair, Hawick

We were delighted with the friendly and exceptionally high standard of service provided by both of you, from booking the right Motorhome for our holiday, pre information prior to our trip, suggestions on where to stay, places to visit, our trip around the Western Isles was a great and our and first experience with a Motorhome holiday very enjoyable. The Motorhome itself was excellent, fully equipped and had everything we needed and more. Thanks for all the advice and guidance on the how to use the Van and watchout (tips) with the van it made everything so much easier and enjoyable. Nothing was any trouble you were on the end of the phone to assist with any questions or queries. Your support and service made it an excellent experience and would recommend this holiday to anyone. Thanks for everything and looking forward to our next trip.

Jun 2012 - Jones Family, Kinross

This was our first experience of hiring a motorhome and didn't know quite what to expect. From the outset Corinne and Gordon were fantastic to deal with, carefully explaining everything to us and putting our minds at ease. Driving away in the brand new and immaculate motorhome was nerve racking at first, but it turned out to be an easy drive. Gordon provided some great tips to keep us safe and accident free.

We found the motorhome to be very well equipped, everything worked as it should and it was very comfortable. We hired 'our' motorhome for three nights and travelled from Perth to Loch Venachar in the Trossachs where we 'wild camped' and then travelled to the north shore of Loch Leven by Glen Coe again 'wild camping'. This is a fantastic spot, but Gordon and Corrine will be happy to recommend hundreds of others throughout Scotland. Our third night was spent at Loch Rannoch, before reluctantly returning to Perth.

We've camped in a tent and done some caravanning, the motorhome experience is completely different and we thoroughly enjoyed it. If there was something negative to say, or something that others may find unappealing, we would say it here. The service provided by Gordon and Corinne was brilliant, the motorhome was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed our short break. We had a great time, we'll do it again for sure and wholeheartedly recommend Gordon and Corinne to anyone considering hiring a motorhome. There was something negative, we should have hired the motorhome for longer!

Well done Gordon and Corinne, we know that you work very hard to provide this level of service and we wish to thank you for our very enjoyable, relaxing and trouble free short break.

Jun 2012 - Beare Family, Aberdeen

We thought the service provided by Scottish Tourers was excellent. In addition to the paperwork being efficient and succinct; the terms and conditions of hire were clear; the motorhomes were immaculate and very well equipped; time was taken to brief us properly when we took over the vans; and the company was available to offer advice on technical and camping issues during the whole of the holiday. A very nice touch was the issue of a wild camping guide together with direct map links to scores of sites. Above all else both Corrine and Gordon were enthusiastic about camping and we felt well supported and valued as customers during the whole period of the hire.

Jun 2012 - Ryan Family, London

Hi Corinne and Gordon,
Can hardly believe a week has passed since we returned the van to you.
We just wanted to say that we had the most fantastic week and many thanks to you both, and Sean for the wonderful service you gave us. It makes such a difference to know that you can totally rely on the service you are offered.
Thanks again, we'll definitely pass on your details to any one who is interested.

May 2012 - Orgill Family, Reading

Despite the weather being a wee bit disappointing for April we really enjoyed our holiday. We really can't imagine a better way of seeing the magnificent scenery of the Highlands than by using one of your Motor homes. We stayed in some spectacular campsites with views of Lochs and snow-topped mountains. We took your advice on the best route around the west coast and it really was beautiful.
This was our first holiday in a Camper van and so I was slightly apprehensive when I saw how big the vehicle was! However, I soon got used to it and enjoyed the views from the elevated driving position. The Camper van was nearly brand new, in immaculate condition and fully equipped with everything you may need.
Throughout the whole hiring process Gordon was helpful and always quick to respond to any queries. We had a small problem with the TV/Aerial amplifier but a phone call to Gordon quickly resolved it. I would not hesitate to recommend Scottish Tourer Motorhomes to anyone considering hiring a Camper van - we will definitely use them again if we decide to tour the Highlands again. (So much more to see & do!)
